Brighid also known as Brigit, Bride, Briget, Briid Brigid, Bhride, Bride, Briga, Brigantia is very popular goddess in Ireland, worshiped in all territories where the Celts settled. Lady of the Sabbat of Imbolq.

Her names mean, variously, “The Exalted One” (“Briganda”) and “Fiery Arrow” (Breo-Saighit “or” Breo-Agit “).

The word “Brig” in Irish archaic Irish means strength, power. Some philosophers, this correlation may be behind the existence of the existence of the warriors called Brigands or “soldiers of Brighid.”
